Coaching Methodology

The client’s goals will guide the coaching. The goals are discussed in an introductory session, free of charge, and then set forth in a coaching agreement. Sarah generally proposes 5 sessions to explore and establish the means of achieving those the goals.

During these sessions, Sarah and the client will examine the client’s strengths and ambitions, their work environments, their role(s), the relevant organization(s), roadblocks, and, finally, alignment and strategies for achieving the objectives outlined at the start. Included in her coaching services are consultations between sessions (review of documents, for example), and a follow-up session six months after the end of the coaching.

The coaching sessions generally last an hour. Wherever possible, Sarah enjoys meeting her clients at least once in person, but is happy otherwise to connect by Zoom or other virtual means.

Sarah structures her fees in such a way as to permit a broader access to her services. This means she bills on a resource basis, established by the client – the value of an hour of their time creates the basis of the value of an hour of her time.

“In six sessions, Sarah was able to get me past an area of “stuck-ness” that had lasted a year or more. She works with a clarity and firmness that is wrapped in a blanket of genuine empathy. She is a deep listener. This is not one-size-fits all coaching, and there is nothing formulaic about it. Sarah really gets to know you, and then she re-introduces you to your best self. I highly recommend her coaching to anyone who wants to take their professional success to the next level.”
